Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year!

I certainly hope everyone was able to bring in the New Year with lots of joy, laughter and happiness last night. Margaret, Trey and I played cards and ate way too much food that was setting on the counter tops just waiting for us to eat. We also had three of Trey's grand kids here with us: Bryson, SheyLea and Lindsey. They sure are growing up fast and had lots of fun playing with toys and watching cartoons.

I was the first to go to bed...I hit the sack at about 10pm. The kids were even able to stay awake longer then me. Anyways, Margaret, Trey and the kids all made it to midnight. They all went outside on the porch to blow on their noisemakers to bring in the New Year. I guess it was snowing pretty hard at the time, but of course I wouldn't know that because I was already sleeping.

Of course nobody made any New Years Resolutions to break. Margaret and I did get ourselves a NordicTrack exercise machine to use so we can get fit this year. I'm hoping that we will use it and it won't get stashed in the back bedroom with our treadmill collecting dust. That's about it from Douglas County...take care and may God bless.

  1. Happy New Year to you also! I think we went to bed even earlier than you-- but the fireworks woke us (or at least me) up a bit after midnight:)
Instead of New Year's Resolutions, I am trying a new thing: I'm choosing three verses to be my resolutions/goals/priorities this year.
    Blessings, b

  2. I have to say that you will be more likely to keep your New Year's Resolutions than I will. It seems like the older I get the harder it is to exercise.
