The Beauty of Diamond Lake!

We arrived yesterday afternoon at Diamond Lake RV Park. The weather is great and the Lake is beautiful. Margaret and I are planning on taking a tour of Crater Lake today. We will be taking along a picnic lunch and spend the whole day just hanging out together and enjoying God's creation. It is hard to believe that our month vacation is almost up. Tomorrow morning we head back home to Roseburg. It has been a great trip and we have seen lots of country side in our 2500 mile journey around Washington and Oregon. It will be nice to get back home and see our family...miss them all.

Happy Anniversary to my Honey Bun!

Today Margaret and I will have been married for forty-two years. I am so blessed by God that we will be able to celebrate this day together. Sometimes it seems like time goes by so fast, but it really doesn't matter when you are with someone that you love.

We will be heading out this morning on a sightseeing tour of Antelope, Clarno, Fossil, and the John Day Fossil Beds. After that I am going to take my sweetheart out to dinner in Madras. We visited the Crooked River Gorge yesterday. Just looking down over the edge (over 300 feet) made me a little woozy.

We will be heading out to Bend tomorrow morning where we will be visiting with Bonnie and Roy. Hopefully we will be able to see all the other relatives in Bend, but I think Martha and Jim are out of town on a camp trip with the kids.

After we leave Bend, we will be camping at the Diamond Lake RV Park until Friday morning, then we will be heading home. This has been a really great month to travel and we enjoyed a lot of sights in Washington and Oregon.

Back In Oregon!!!

Me and Margaret making our way back to Oregon on a speeder

We got into Metolius yesterday afternoon where we will be staying at the Mt. View RV Park for the next three days.  Metolius is a little town near Madras where we plan on sighting later on this afternoon.  I have updated our photo album, but still haven't had a chance to fill in the captions for each picture.  All I can say is that we are having fun just hanging out with each other and visiting areas where we haven't been before.

We plan on making it to Bend by Wednesday and stay there a few days before heading home.  We have traveled over 1900 miles so far.  Even though we have really enjoyed traveling around Washington and parts of Oregon, we are beginning to miss our family and look forward on seeing them next week.

On The Road Again!

We had a really nice relaxing time here in Leavenworth, but now it's time to move on. The above picture is us taking a rest while walking through all the little shops and displays in the downtown area. What a beautiful place just too walk around and there are so many things to see. We also visited the Cashmere Museum and the Pioneer Village. I got all the pictures uploaded into our album for all to enjoy but it will take sometime to get all the captions filled in.

We will be heading out for Toppenish this morning where we will be staying for four days at the Yakima Nation RV Park. There are several sights in the Yakima and Toppenish area we want to see. I hope everyone is do well and we plan on seeing everyone at the family reunion.

Relaxing in Leavenworth!

We arrived yesterday afternoon at Icicle River RV Resort in Leavenworth. Nice little RV park with all the comforts of home (full-hookups). Margaret and I plan on sightseeing tomorrow. There seems to be a lot to see so we will be staying here at least until Monday. The weather is cloudy and there is a forecast of showers today and on Sunday, but otherwise all is well. I have updated the pictures in our photo album and will fill in the captions when I get a chance.

This has been a really nice and relaxing trip so far and we have seen lots of sights.  In the above picture we just finished eating lunch at Sheris, which is a small outside restaurant in Winthrop.

Having Fun in Seattle!

What a great week this has been here in the Seattle area. The weather has been wonderful and we have been enjoying the sights. So far we have visited the Woodland Park Zoo, the Science Fiction Museum, The Pacific Science Center and the Space Needle. Even though I enjoyed the museum and science center, I think my favorite was the Space Needle. Margaret and I celebrated an early 42nd Anniversary dinner at the revolving restaurant on top of the Space Needle. What a beautiful view of the Seattle area.

Today we will be visiting the Seattle Aquarium and taking a Seattle harbor tour on a small cruise boat. I have updated our photographs but haven't had time to get all of them labeled. Tomorrow morning we head out over the Northern Cascade Mountains.

Good Morning From Everett!

Margaret and I pulled into Everett, Washington at about 7pm last night. It took over an hour just to get through the Seattle/Tacoma traffic. We will be staying at the Lakeside RV Park for five days. There are so many sights to see around here so we might stay if need be. I have updated the photo album but haven't had time to ID each picture yet. So far our trip has really been great and we are having lots of fun. It was such a blessing to visit with Kay and Doug. And the trip up to Mt. Saint Helens was great. Mt. St. Helens looks a lot like Mt. Hood except it doesn't have the peek....

Good Morning to all!!!

Margaret and I pulled into Salem at around 5:30pm Saturday where we are staying at the Phoenix RV Park. After setting up camp we decided to drive over to Spirit Mountain Casino where we enjoyed a late lunch and donated to the Indian tribe...but we had a lot of fun and it was very relaxing.

Yesterday we spent a relaxing day attending the Frost/Coutu family reunion at Champoeg Park. The food was wonderful and it was really nice to see everyone there. Angie and Bill did a great job in setting up the picnic tables with all sorts of good things to eat.

We plan on heading to Newberg and visiting everyone there today. At least visit those that are home and not running around the countryside like we are.

On Tuesday morning we will be packing up and heading for La Center, Washington to visit with Kay and Doug.

I will be putting pictures of our Washington travels in a photo album that I have placed in the "Family Blog Photo Gallery" section for all to enjoy.
