Thank You!

Hi Everyone! Uncle Lloyd/Aunt Margaret ... THANK YOU FOR THE INVITE!! It's so cool to see the updates from various family members, and the PICTURES!! Jeezo! I can't believe how big all of the "kids" have gotten! Unfortunately, I've arrived a little late to the last few family reunions, and so haven't had a chance to see ALL of the family. My bad ... I'll be better about that :)

John and I are doing well. For those of you who don't know, we got engaged just before Thanksgiving this past year. We haven't set a date yet, but I'll let you know once we do. Vegas anyone??? John's daughter, Ciara, is involved in the local theater in Newport, so we're heading out today to see her performance in "Cinderella" tomorrow night. It should be a lot fun!

Hopefully I had everyone's address and was able to get our Christmas card out to you ... if not, send me your address and I'll put you on the list for next year. Our card was a picture that Laura took of us (you can see it in Aunt Jeannine's photo album) at a "fun-run" motorcycle race that John and Jason participated in. John used to race a little and still loves to ride. He's taken Jason riding several times ... according to John, Jason is a natural! But of course!! :)

That's all for now ... I'll try to get some pictures posted when we get back from the beach. Have a great weekend!

Love,
Donna

Our Trip to Newberg

What a lovely day we had driving up to Newberg to visit mom and Jeannine. The weather was nice and the traffic wasn't all that bad.

We had a good visit with mom and Jeannine, who are both doing fine. Herbietta and Rusty came by to see us while we were there. Also, EvieLou dropped by with her two grand kids, Camren and Andrew. Camren and Andrew are growing up so fast and they are both soooooo cute. We all had a good time visiting with each other and taking photographs.

Terry arrived just as we were getting ready to leave, so we didn't get to talk with him too much. Sorry Terry, but we had to be in Albany by 3pm to pick up Tara. Anyways, we picked up Tara and her friend Samantha who will be spending the weekend with us.

Check Margaret and my photo gallery to see the pictures I took while up in Newberg.

Just a quick hello and a warm thank you

Just stopped by to check on everyone and see who needs prayers. And not to my surprise one of the new prayers was for me. :-) Thanks so much for sharing your faith so openly and carrying us to Jesus with your prayers. I am walking and now fit into my own slippers(well a big pair) have antibiotics coming that are suppose to help with my face and as you can see typing.

We are finally out of the negative digits for temps and the sun was shining today. God is Good ~ All the Time!! Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie

Questions from an 11 year old

well the other night Tori came up to me and asked me how and where was God born. I couldn't really answer that question that she would understand what i'm talking about. does anyone have any ideas what to say to her so she can talk to her friends. She is doing amazing in school and telling her friends about Christ and inviting them to church we usually have a van full. At least she is interested huh. well anyways if anyone knows what to say let me know. thanks. Raven

Hello Family and Friends

I'm new to blogging. It sure was nice seeing all those photos. Really brings back the memories. I was on my way to bed when I thought I would check my email. I'm going to school part-time and taking CNA classes. I will hopefully be a nurse in the next 3 years. Time for a change in occupation. However, I am starting to get sleepy. So, take care to all and Jason and I love and miss all of you.

Love Laura.

PS. As soon as I get my pictures off my camera and have time to edit them, I will post some of the family here on this side of the hill.

Fun with the Grand Kids!!!

Today was a pretty good day. Margaret and I started out with our daily routine at the YMCA. We then had fun baby setting Jack and Sammy while Bill and Amy made a trip to Portland.

Trey came over for a little while and tried to beat us in Zilch, but I had control of the dice.

I would say that all-in-all it was a relaxing and sort of lazy day just enjoying the family. Take care and may our Lord continue to bless each of your families. Lloyd

From Up Here..

Our Update:

We are doing OK--I just got back from a day trip to the coast with my best friend (and my hubby's blessing). We left frost covered fields here, and after crossing a sunny pass we ended up on the coast where it felt more like summer or spring then winter! It was beautiful--the ocean was blue, skies were pretty clear, the wind was almost non-existent and the food (fresh crab on the bay) was fantastic! Don't worry the wonderful, sweet loving man who made the trip possible was gifted with some awesome chocolates:)

On the homefront--signs of spring are around here too. I actually found one of our plants blooming, the lilac is showing signs of new life and the bulbs (daffodils and irises are between 2-4 or so inches high). It has been pretty cold here at night so I am not sure why the blossoms but they are quite pretty:)

Baby C continues to grow (sorry but her latest photo is--along with the coast photos--still on my camera). Her 'hair-fuzz" looks reddish so we might have a Celtic baby on our hands and her eyes are still a beautiful blue (just like her wonderful grandpa's). Her mom and big sister visited on the holiday which was really fun--unfortunately her grandfather who adores his little granddaughters was at work:(

We continue to hear from our youngest son occasionally -- he seems to be doing OK. I can hardly wait till his time is finished there though...

Our oldest son and his fiancee now have a new pet--a cute little kitty. From what I understand they are both very happy with their little addition. They both were recently in Las Vegas for a short trip to visit relatives there.

Well that's about it for now--

Blessings all! b

Glad to have joined

Glad to have joined the Cannaday Family News. I love to keep up with all of you up north. So many families to get to know. We enjoyed the reunion. Love the "walk down memory lane", lots of pictures I could relate to: The ol' farm house for one....
Keep the news coming.

Anyone out there!!

Good morning family. Anyone out there in cyberspace? I haven't seen any post lately from our family bloggers keeping us all up to date on what's happening in our lives.

Margaret and I have had a pretty good, last few days, spending time with our family. Yesterday evening we watched Sammy and Jack while Bill and Amy went to a birthday party. I tell you what, those grand kids of ours are growing up soooooo fast that it's hard to keep up with them anymore. Jack and Sammy are so cute when they take off running down the hallway after each other. I think Jack is starting to really enjoy his little brother.

Trey also showed up while the grand kids were here, so we all enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and played a few games of Zilch (dice game)to see who would be champion. Trey and I both won a game and poor Margaret didn't win any. Anyhow, we all had fun just chatting and goofing around.

Today Margaret and I are going to just relax and later on head over to Seven Feathers Casino to play BINGO. It's been a long time since I won a BINGO game so this is the day!

Hoping all of you are well and doing fine this lovely day. Take care and may our Lord continue to bless each and everyone of you. Lloyd

Enjoying the Grandkids!

Margaret and I had a wonderful day babysitting Jack and Sammy. As you can see both boys were busy playing with their blocks and other toys on the floor.

We also went for a walk with the boys around the block. Jack enjoyed pushing Sammy in the stroller. It is such a blessing to be able to watch our grand kids grow and be part of their lives.

How was everyone else's day? I hope all is well and that you also had a wonderful day. Take care and may God bless, Margaret & Lloyd

Family Celebrations

As you can see, I have added a new section called "Celebrations" to our family blog. I believe that it is important to recognize the special days in our lives and to celebrate them.

I keep a calender with most of the family anniversaries and birthdays listed, but I know I don't have all of them. I would like to have everyone email me their family "special days" so I can add them to my calender. Thanks, and may God bless. Lloyd

Good evening family!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Margaret and I started out by heading down to the YMCA for our daily workout. We then headed for home where I fixed us breakfast.

We babysat Sammy for about an hour while Amy took Jack down to the library for "Story Time". It is such a blessing to watch Sammy and Jack as they play. They are growing up so fast.

As you can see in the pictures, Sammy is concentrating on his cartoons and Jack is showing off his animals he glued onto a piece of paper.

How is everyone doing today? Margaret, Trey and I drove down to Winston and had dinner at Bill and Amy's house. Amy sure can cook good. We all had plenty to eat. It was fun playing with Jack and Sammy. Both Sammy and Jack had fun playing with all their Christmas toys and we had fun just watching them. I took several photo's that I will post in our gallery tomorrow. Take care and may God bless, Lloyd

Happy New Year 2009!

As each sunrise ushers in a new day, and dispels the night’s darkness,
so can this New Year be a fresh beginning--and a time where we seek to live more and more in the light of God’s love and grace.

“And He that sat upon the throne said Behold I make all things new. “
Rev 21:5 KJV

Wishing you all a year of peace & joy!

Blessings, b

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!IT'S GREAT

Happy New Year everyone. Hope you had a great day and more so i wish you all a great year and that everyone of us draw closer to God this coming year. I want to thank all of you for all youv'e done in my life this year mainly your prayers. We had alot of struggles in 2008 it's time for a new year.

I want to thank Uncle Lloyd for the prayers that went up for my dad and I. Dad i'm so blessed to have you back in my life. That has been my prayer for some years now. now it's a new year and we can get to know one another again even more. also our house finances are fixed Praise God so we get to stay where we are for a few more years until Garrett finishes school which would be another 3 and half years. I"m happy with the turnout of the problems tori has had and please pray for her because she has some major anger problems. she will start counseling in about a week. I'm happy that alot of the family are focusing their eyes on the lORD that is great. we'll all be happy and joyous when we meet our king.

well not much just alot over. the only thing we have going on for the new year so far is Garrett Jr's surgery on the 16th of the month. he will go under for a tooth to be pulled and a bone draft to for his gums. hard to explain but taking a chunk of hip to his mouth. so hopefully that will turn out just pray nothing wrong goes.

again thank you family and all that you've done this year and i pray for each and everyone of you that all will go well for you and that you and God will draw closer this year. That's the only way to go. God bless everyone of you. and we love you lots. Raven
