Update on Bonnie's Surgery

W
e received an update on Bonnie last night. Her surgery took longer than expected. She had shunts put in her urethra and then they removed her colon, rectum and part of her intestines. They removed a large tumor that was wrapped around her rectum. She is in a lot of pain and had to have a blood transfusion due to a drop in her blood pressure. Please continue to keep her in prayer for God's will to be done. She has been fighting ovarian cancer for seven years now.

God bless, Margaret

Happy Birthday Opal!

Margaret and I drove down to Grants Pass today to be with Opal as she celebrated her 74th birthday. Everyone met over at the Taprock Restaurant where we had a really delicious lunch and lots of laughs.

After lunch we went back to Opals house and had a nice visit with her and Fern. In the above picture of Fern and Opal, you will notice Opal's little dog Sophie. Sophie is such a cutie with the little dress Opal got for her. (See more pictures in my photo gallery)

Happy Birthday Bill!

We sure had a lot of fun celebrating Bill's birthday. After eating a really delicious meal that Amy cooked, we all enjoyed cake and ice cream.

Good Morning From Roseburg!

Good morning everyone. I thought I'd give an update on how retirement was treating us here in Roseburg. Margaret and I are really enjoying the time we have together with our grand kids. As you can see in the picture on the left, Jack and Sammy just love playing with their grandma. It's hard to believe that the boys are growing up so fast. On the 7th Jack will be four years old.

Margaret and I keep pretty busy with our hospice and church volunteer work. It is so gratifying and rewarding to be able to give of our time. We are starting to get a little excited about our two week trip that we want to take in June. We plan on traveling around parts of Oregon that neither one of us have seen yet.

Well...I have to go now, so if anyone else wants to update what's happening with your family, just take a few minutes to let us know. Take care and may God bless.
