Roseburg's Retired Folk!!

Well, it has been a few days since I updated everyone on what's happening in Roseburg. Margaret and I are doing just fine with retirement. This morning we did "Our Thing" at the YMCA, then we got to baby set Sammy.

We had lots of fun playing with Sammy while Amy took Jack to the library for "Story Time". As you can see by the photo (teary eyes)to the left, Sammy wasn't a very happy camper when we decided to take away his binky. Sammy finally "Got over it!" after grandma gave him a Graham Cracker.

Otherwise, nothing much has been happening here in Roseburg. How are all of you doing this week? I hope everyone of you are doing well. I always look forward to the updates on everyone. Got to go now, so don't be bashful about POSTING and maybe even set up a Picasa Photo Gallery for all to enjoy your family photographs. God bless, Lloyd

Grace 2-3-2009

I am glad you like the pictures, the last one (with the tongue) took some time to get but well worth it. She kept sticking it out at me but as soon as she saw my phone (to take a picture) she sucked it back in. Already camera shy. I just got her a bumbo chair, it helps babies who can support there heads sit upright. Next time I sit her in it I will take a picture for you. It's rather cute but she only likes it half the time. Whenever I sit her up almost like she is lounging she tries to sit up all the way. She is getting stronger. And laughing nearly everyday, still not a deep chuckle but very cute. So as of right now she is all too sweet to be like her daddy ☺ E-mail from Jennifer

Thank You!

Hi Everyone! Uncle Lloyd/Aunt Margaret ... THANK YOU FOR THE INVITE!! It's so cool to see the updates from various family members, and the PICTURES!! Jeezo! I can't believe how big all of the "kids" have gotten! Unfortunately, I've arrived a little late to the last few family reunions, and so haven't had a chance to see ALL of the family. My bad ... I'll be better about that :)

John and I are doing well. For those of you who don't know, we got engaged just before Thanksgiving this past year. We haven't set a date yet, but I'll let you know once we do. Vegas anyone??? John's daughter, Ciara, is involved in the local theater in Newport, so we're heading out today to see her performance in "Cinderella" tomorrow night. It should be a lot fun!

Hopefully I had everyone's address and was able to get our Christmas card out to you ... if not, send me your address and I'll put you on the list for next year. Our card was a picture that Laura took of us (you can see it in Aunt Jeannine's photo album) at a "fun-run" motorcycle race that John and Jason participated in. John used to race a little and still loves to ride. He's taken Jason riding several times ... according to John, Jason is a natural! But of course!! :)

That's all for now ... I'll try to get some pictures posted when we get back from the beach. Have a great weekend!

Love,
Donna

Our Trip to Newberg

What a lovely day we had driving up to Newberg to visit mom and Jeannine. The weather was nice and the traffic wasn't all that bad.

We had a good visit with mom and Jeannine, who are both doing fine. Herbietta and Rusty came by to see us while we were there. Also, EvieLou dropped by with her two grand kids, Camren and Andrew. Camren and Andrew are growing up so fast and they are both soooooo cute. We all had a good time visiting with each other and taking photographs.

Terry arrived just as we were getting ready to leave, so we didn't get to talk with him too much. Sorry Terry, but we had to be in Albany by 3pm to pick up Tara. Anyways, we picked up Tara and her friend Samantha who will be spending the weekend with us.

Check Margaret and my photo gallery to see the pictures I took while up in Newberg.

Just a quick hello and a warm thank you

Just stopped by to check on everyone and see who needs prayers. And not to my surprise one of the new prayers was for me. :-) Thanks so much for sharing your faith so openly and carrying us to Jesus with your prayers. I am walking and now fit into my own slippers(well a big pair) have antibiotics coming that are suppose to help with my face and as you can see typing.

We are finally out of the negative digits for temps and the sun was shining today. God is Good ~ All the Time!! Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie

Questions from an 11 year old

well the other night Tori came up to me and asked me how and where was God born. I couldn't really answer that question that she would understand what i'm talking about. does anyone have any ideas what to say to her so she can talk to her friends. She is doing amazing in school and telling her friends about Christ and inviting them to church we usually have a van full. At least she is interested huh. well anyways if anyone knows what to say let me know. thanks. Raven

Hello Family and Friends

I'm new to blogging. It sure was nice seeing all those photos. Really brings back the memories. I was on my way to bed when I thought I would check my email. I'm going to school part-time and taking CNA classes. I will hopefully be a nurse in the next 3 years. Time for a change in occupation. However, I am starting to get sleepy. So, take care to all and Jason and I love and miss all of you.

Love Laura.

PS. As soon as I get my pictures off my camera and have time to edit them, I will post some of the family here on this side of the hill.

Fun with the Grand Kids!!!

Today was a pretty good day. Margaret and I started out with our daily routine at the YMCA. We then had fun baby setting Jack and Sammy while Bill and Amy made a trip to Portland.

Trey came over for a little while and tried to beat us in Zilch, but I had control of the dice.

I would say that all-in-all it was a relaxing and sort of lazy day just enjoying the family. Take care and may our Lord continue to bless each of your families. Lloyd

From Up Here..

Our Update:

We are doing OK--I just got back from a day trip to the coast with my best friend (and my hubby's blessing). We left frost covered fields here, and after crossing a sunny pass we ended up on the coast where it felt more like summer or spring then winter! It was beautiful--the ocean was blue, skies were pretty clear, the wind was almost non-existent and the food (fresh crab on the bay) was fantastic! Don't worry the wonderful, sweet loving man who made the trip possible was gifted with some awesome chocolates:)

On the homefront--signs of spring are around here too. I actually found one of our plants blooming, the lilac is showing signs of new life and the bulbs (daffodils and irises are between 2-4 or so inches high). It has been pretty cold here at night so I am not sure why the blossoms but they are quite pretty:)

Baby C continues to grow (sorry but her latest photo is--along with the coast photos--still on my camera). Her 'hair-fuzz" looks reddish so we might have a Celtic baby on our hands and her eyes are still a beautiful blue (just like her wonderful grandpa's). Her mom and big sister visited on the holiday which was really fun--unfortunately her grandfather who adores his little granddaughters was at work:(

We continue to hear from our youngest son occasionally -- he seems to be doing OK. I can hardly wait till his time is finished there though...

Our oldest son and his fiancee now have a new pet--a cute little kitty. From what I understand they are both very happy with their little addition. They both were recently in Las Vegas for a short trip to visit relatives there.

Well that's about it for now--

Blessings all! b
