Good Morning From Baker City

We pulled into Baker City Monday afternoon. We have been staying at the Mountain View RV Park for the past two days. The weather is just beautiful, clear skies and warm temperatures. I can see why they call this RV park "Mountain View" -- The picture on this post is what we see outside our trailer. The snow caped mountains are so lovely.

Yesterday we took an all day tour and sightseeing drive up Hell's Canyon. We even stopped by the ghost town of Sparta. I took lots of pictures which include the Hell's Canyon Dam and the only little house left in Sparta.

We are heading to Pendleton this afternoon. We will probably stay two nights there, just relaxing and a little sightseeing.

Hello From Huntington

We are staying at the Oasis RV Resort along the Snake River just outside of Huntington. We pulled in on Saturday afternoon. There is no internet service here so today we drove into Huntington where we are setting at a picnic table outside the county library. It is very relaxing at this little park and the weather is about 85 degrees.

We spent today worshiping the Lord at Calvary Baptist Church in Weiser, Idaho. We then drove around Weiser sightseeing. God is good. He has provided our need for worship and now the need to see if all is okay back home through the internet.

We will be heading to Baker City tomorrow morning where we will spend two nights. We want to take a tour of Hell's Canyon. Well, everyone take care and post something on the blog if you get a chance.

Burns For The Night!

We pulled into Burns around 1pm this afternoon. What wonderful weather we are having. It is supposed to be warm now for the next week or so. Anyways... we are camping at the Old Camp Casino RV Park for the night then heading for the Huntington area in the morning.

Margaret feels a little better today. When we pulled into the RV park, we were the only ones there camping. There are now two other RV'er's here now besides us. After we set up camp, we went for a walk then we sat down and played several games of farkle.

I haven't seen too much activity on our family blog lately. How is everyone else doing these days? I have updated our vacation photo album of the pictures we took today. Take care and may God bless each of you.

Greetings From Lakeview

Well we had a lot of fun sightseeing around the Junipers Reservoir RV Resort and now we are ready to head to Burns tomorrow morning. We drove into Lakeview to look around but were a little disappointed because there wasn't too much to see. There was an old museum but it was closed. It was too windy and rainy to fish, but when the sunshine did come out we were able to go for a walk on the paths around the RV park.

I have updated our vacation picture file for everyone to enjoy.

Good Morning From Klamath Falls

We had a wonderful three days in the Klamath Falls area. North Klamath Lake was just beautiful, reflecting all of God's glory. This morning we will be getting things packed up and ready to move on to Lakeview. We will be staying two days at the Junipers Reservoir RV Resort located on a large ranch in Lakeview.

We are still both trying to get over these darn colds, but otherwise things are going pretty well with the traveling and sightseeing. Yesterday we got to say "Hi" to Jack and Sammy on Skype. It is so nice to be connected to the Internet where ever we go.

Got to go now and fix Margaret her breakfast. Take care and may God bless.

Sightseeing In Klamath Falls

Hello family and friends... We pulled into Klamath Falls around noon time today. We are staying at the Oregon 8 Motel & RV Park located on Hwy. 97, just North of Klamath Falls.

The weather is so nice here compared to all the rain and wind we had over on the coast. We will be staying here for three days then we will be heading to Lake View. Tomorrow we plan on doing some sightseeing in the area, but today we are just going to hang out and relax. God's blessings, Lloyd

Hello From Brookings

Well, maybe traveling Oregon in June wasn't that good of an idea. The two days in North Bend were rainy and windy. However we still had a good time driving around sightseeing and hanging out with each other.

We arrived at the "At Rivers Edge" RV Resort in Brookings yesterday afternoon with the rain storm following us from North Bend. It has been raining hard with lots of wind every since we got here. The RV park is located alongside the Chetco River and is just beautiful. As soon as it clears up Margaret and I are going to go out and walk around and see the lovely sights.

I have placed a few pictures of our trip in the "Family Blog Photo Gallery" located on the left sidebar, under "Our Oregon Vacation Trip". Everyone take care and may God bless.

"On The Road Again"

Well, family and friends Margaret and I are taking off in a few hours for our journey around Oregon. We are pretty excited because its been awhile since we have had a chance to get away with our little home-on-wheels. We will probably be gone the whole month of June just hanging out together and enjoying each others company.

Here is sort of a tentative itinerary of our travels:

1-2 -- North Bend/Coos Bay area.
3-4 -- Brookings/Gold Beach area.
5 -- Medford area.
6-7 -- Klamath Falls area.
8-9 -- Lake View area.
10 -- Burns area.
11-12 -- Huntington area.
13-15 -- Richland/Hells Canyon area.
16 -- Pendleton area.
17-18 -- Mt. Vernon area.
19-21 -- Madras/Warm Springs/Bend area.
22-23 -- La Center, Wa. area.
24-26 -- Newberg area.

Of course the above itinerary can change if we happen to come across an area where we feel like hanging out a little longer. I want everyone to have a blessed day and remember that God is always in control. God bless, Lloyd

Things to Remember on Memorial Day

It is the VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN,
not the politician,
who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,

It is the VETERAN,
who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,
AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON
THEM.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the military service no matter where they serve.

Father God let us always remember these young men and women who serve our county so that we can be FREE. Heavenly Father, be with those families this Memorial Day weekend who's loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Lord, it is my prayer that You give all of these folks the peace and comfort that only You can bring. I pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen

Hello From The Heaters

April was a very busy month for us but also enjoyable. Not so much the weather but all else was good. We started off with Easter and even though JR and his family were not there for the beginning, Aunt Maxine & Barb were able to join us along with Jeff, Kim and her son Jordan, and we all had a great visit. The 17th we participated in a baby shower for JR & JenMa. Lots of good food and great baby gifts. Then on the 22nd we met with some of Rusty's family and had a nice lunch and swapping of genealogy material.

April 30th we started a two day celebration of Payton's 4th birthday, starting with a trip to the Evergreen Air & Space Museum then lunch at Izzys and then a party at Jaquith Park on Sat. In between all this, I have been working on a new quilt which I have to finish before Sept. 12th. and also taking Buddie to visit the dog park.

We are planning on going to Long Beach Washington for a few days over Mother's Day and then in June heading for Eastern Oregon and Boise.

Well, that pretty much catches you up on our happenings. All in all, we ARE truly Blessed.

Love & Hugs to you all!

Good Morning From Roseburg!

Well, its been several weeks since anyone has updated our family blog... So here is what's happening down in the Douglas County area. Bill, Amy and the boys are doing just fine. Sammy and Jack are growing like weeds. As you can see in the picture below, they are getting so big and grown up. Jack and Sammy have been staying with us now for the past three days. The picture is at the fish ladder on the Umpqua River.

Trey is doing just fine. He is still trying to find a job, but there just isn't anything here in Douglas County. Trey is looking up in the Eugene/Springfield area, but the job situation is about the same up there. I think he is getting a little bored with being "semi-retired".

Margaret and I are starting to plan our two or three week trip around Oregon in June. I'm getting a little excited about getting our to "Dodge" for a few days and just relaxing. I think we are going to have to slow down a little on all of the volunteer work we are doing because it's beginning to be more like WORK instead of FUN.

Well, that's about all that is happening around here. Now, let's see if all of you can take a few minutes and update what's happening in your area in the next few days.
