I want to take time to thank God for everything that He hasdone for me, because without His love, mercy, and grace, I would have no hope, joyor peace in this world.

Thank you Lord for dying on the cross for me.

Thank you Lord for my wife, Margaret, threewonderful boys, and lots of grandkids.

Thank you Lord for providing for my family even when thingswere tough.

Thank you Lord for giving me and my family a loving churchhome.

Thank you Lord for allowing me to go out and witness in Yourname.

Thank you Lord for this Christian Blog and the friendship ofother Christian Bloggers.

When I think of how much God has done for me it just humblesme that even though I am a sinner He will never leave me nor forsaken me.  It is my prayer this Thanksgiving Day thateveryone that reads this post will experience the love, mercy and grace ofGod... for without Him we are nothing. God bless each and every one of you and your families.

Let us honor our military men, women and our veterans that have fought for our freedom that we all cherish today in the United States of America. Happy 7th Anniversary

Happy 7th anniversary to my wonderful wife. The years steadily go by, but my love for you grows in leaps and bounds daily. I love you Baby!!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

Today our Family Blog has been up and running for three years.  Our membership has decreased, however those that do come onto the family blog seem to enjoy all of the photographs and family updates.  Google has been making several changes to blogger in the past several months so if anyone is having difficulties in posting or commenting please let me know.  

Margaret and I are keeping busy in our retirement years.  Lots of volunteer work with the church and Hospice.  But the good thing about volunteer work is that if you don't like what you are doing... all you have to do is quit and it doesn't effect your paycheck.  We are having lots of fun with our grand kids and we try to get out and travel as much as possible.  

Starting today, lets see how many of you can make at least one post a month on the family blog to let everyone know how you are doing.  Lets make this 4th year of blogging a little bet more active with lots of updates and lots of family pictures.

All our family and friends met at Chuck E. Cheese in Eugene yesterday evening to celebrate Sammy's 4th Birthday.  Sammy and Jack had lots of fun and it was such a blessing to watch all the kids enjoying themselves.

Fern's Birthday Party!

What a great time everyone had at Paige's house in Medford this evening.  There was about 50 or so of Fern's friends and family celebrating her 80th birthday.  Lots of laughs and lots of good food.  Everyone had a really good time.

In Remembrance of the 911 Heroes and Victims

I sat down and watched the above trailer that is a documentation of interviews, photographs and video of that day on September 11th, 2001, that will forever be etched in the minds of all who witnessed or saw this nightmare unfold while watching the morning news.

After ten years, I still tear up just thinking of all those souls that perished in one of the worst terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. If you have the time I encourage you to set back and watch how all of the events unfolded on that day in history.

Jack's First Day of Kindergarten

Our little guy looks so grown up as he heads for his first day of kindergarten. 

Visit from Louise

Margaret and I had a really nice visit with Louise yesterday afternoon. We all sat down and enjoyed barbecued hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans and fresh corn on the cob. Louise is enjoying her retirement just as much as we are.

Bill, Amy and the boys joined us tonight to celebrate Trey'sbirthday.  As you can see, Trey got a magic wand to make himself younger,a "Over the Hill Whistle" to carry around in case he falls downand can't get up, and a "I'm 40" baseball cap.  The cake and icecream was served in black color plates and everyone had black color napkins. Lots of fun and laughs.
