We all enjoyed having Trey's two grand kids spend the last four days with us. They had fun playing in the park and around the house. It's hard to believe how big both Shea-Lea and Bryson are getting.

Our Family Retreat 2009

Well we just got back from a three day family retreat in Bandon. We rented a 5-bedroom house on the beach. It sure was nice just to get away for awhile with all the family and enjoy each others company. Everyone had a great time playing on the beach (Sunset Bay), at the park, and of course a trip to the West Coast Game Park.

Playing In The Park With Jack & Sam

We just got back from the playgrounds with the grand kids. Jack and Sammy had so much fun playing on the slide and monkey bars. It was so much fun just watching them have fun. The boys will be spending the night with us so we plan on having lots of fun together. Maybe tomorrow morning grandpa with make Jack and Sammy some pancakes.

New Family News Blog Features

You might have noticed two new features on our blog. On the left side of the blog page I have place a widget for Searching the blog, a Visitor's Map, and Recent Readers. You can type a name or any word and the search will bring up all Posts on our blog that relates to it.

Also you will notice a new category listed under each POST which consist of 5-stars. This is a Post rating system which allows you to let everyone know how well you like the Posts that are published on the blog. This is sort of neat because if you don't feel like writing anything in the comment section of each Posts, all you need to do is click on one of the stars to let the Author know how well you enjoyed their Posts.

Wonderful Day at The Fair

You couldn't ask for a better day to attend the Douglas County Fair. It was cloudy so it wasn't hot and today it was only $1.50 to get in. Margaret and I really enjoyed walking around the stock barns to see all of the different animals.

We spent time with Bill and Amy who were there with the boys. Bill was at the ODF&W fair booth where he was showing different animal pelts and explaining to the fair goers wildlife conservation and habitat. Today all rides were only $1.50 so Jack and Sam had lots of fun.

Good Morning Family!

Good morning family. It is so nice to be back home again. This morning Margaret and I started back on our routine of going down to the YMCA. It will be about two weeks or so before I am back up to where I was before taking off all of July.

Afterwards, we both just relaxed as we drank our coffee and caught up on our computer work. So nice to be retired. I am looking forward to getting all the pictures of our family reunion so I can post a slide show on the blog.

Well..... Got to go now and do some work around the house (weeding) before it gets too hot outside. Everyone take care and may our Lord continue to bless each and everyone of you.

Family Reunion

What a great turnout we had at our family reunion on Saturday the 1st. It was so good to see all of our relatives and the food was fantastic. Thanks EvieLou, Herbietta and Jeannine for setting everything up this year.

I will put together another slide show, with the help from Jeannine, of this years family reunion as soon as I get all of the pictures from Herbietta.

It was also really nice to get back to Roseburg today from our trip to Minnesota. We put on over 6000 miles, but it was well worth it because we had wonderful visits with Bonnie and her family in Minnesota, and Louis and his family in Illinois.
