Well, tomorrow morning will be 2009. Hard to believe that 2008 is already coming to an end. In a way it seems like it went by so fast.
Margaret and I had so many blessings from the Lord this year that it would take forever to mention all. However, there are a few that really stand out in my mind and are dear to my heart.
Helping Jeannine up in Newberg to take care of mom was such a blessing. I think that I spent more time with mom then I have in the past 30 years or so. I also was able to get to know some of my sister's and brother's better. That was really a dear thing to me because over the years it seems like everyone has sort of drifted off into their own little worlds.
I would like to take this opportunity now to ask each of you to forgive me for anything that I may have done to hurt you while we were growing up as kids. I know I was not a very nice person back then, but thanks to our Lord, I am a changed person now.
Being able to spend more time with Bill and Amy, Trey and our grandchildren were really blessings from the Lord for Margaret and I. God has blessed us so much.
Being a part of a church family at Vine Street Baptist Church is such a blessing and a comfort to us.
The only New Year's resolution that I know I can keep is that of walking closer with God and putting Him first in my life.
My prayer for each and every one of you is that God will continue to bless you and your families. I also pray that those of you that are not "Saved" to asked Jesus into your life now. The Bible tells us that "Now is the time for Salvation" because tomorrow may never come. Wouldn't it be a joyous occasion to see everyone of our relatives and friends in Heaven one of these days?
In closing, Margaret and I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
